biography

MA Photographic Studies
University of Westminster

Photography, performance and a needle are central to Jessa's practice. She uses her body as a site to explore communal meanings and is concerned with making explicit the moment when performed gesture and gaze of the viewer collide.

Her work is held in collections including Yale Center for British Art (US), and libraries at Tate Britain, the Victoria and Albert Museum (UK), and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (US).

She is represented by the Print Sales Gallery at The Photographers' Gallery (UK) and Anzenberger Gallery (Austria).
