Minimalist and uncluttered, Serena’s work is concerned with storytelling. Through her restrained technique, she focuses the attention on to only the important elements in the painting, thus creating a narrative that provokes a sense of peace and quiet stillness, or at times a sense of unease or apprehension.
Serena practiced as an illustrator for many years and has worked for renowned clients including the BBC, Houghton Mifflin, Boden Clothing, Simon & Schuster and Pearson Education. She now works as a full time painter at Jamaica Street Studios.
